FACT Member Shares His Voice on Youth Vaping

Aedin Wadlund, a FACT Youth Board member from the Boys & Girls Club of Wausau, recently shared his perspective on youth vaping in a letter to the editor published by the Wausau Pilot & Review.
In his letter, Aedin discusses his concerns about e-cigarette use among young people and the ways tobacco companies’ products can appeal to youth. He highlights the colorful designs, technology, and flavors found in many vaping products and shares why he believes more needs to be done to prevent young people from becoming addicted to nicotine.
Aedin’s letter is a great example of the power of youth voice. By speaking up about an issue that affects his peers, he is helping bring attention to the importance of preventing youth tobacco and nicotine use.
