Cut, Paste, and Create with Franklin FACT

Last year, members of the Franklin FACT group gathered to take part in a creative and meaningful scrapbooking activity, aimed at reflecting on their work throughout the year in tobacco prevention. With markers, scissors, and glue in hand, the teens worked together to assemble pages that highlighted the many ways they've taken action against Big Tobacco in their schools and communities.

The activity gave members a chance to revisit photos, flyers, event materials, and personal reflections from a busy year filled with clean-up efforts, peer education, and powerful anti-tobacco messaging. From organizing public awareness campaigns to participating in community discussions, each scrapbook page told a unique story of leadership, teamwork, and advocacy.

The scrapbook will not only serve as a keepsake for the group, but also as a tool to showcase their impact to peers, parents, and community partners. It's a creative reminder that advocacy can take many forms, and that youth voices matter in the fight against tobacco.

This reflective and engaging activity reminded participants of just how much they've accomplished in a single year. It also reinforced the importance of continuing their mission to educate others and stand up against the influence of tobacco in their neighborhoods. Through art, memory, and dialogue, these young advocaets proved once again that they are making a difference, one page at a time!
